Sports Physiotherapy is an extension of Physiotherapy that encompasses the use of streamlined rehabilitation programs that are designed to be sports specific.

Through implementation of sport specific programs, recovery from injury can be managed in a way that increases likelihood of an earlier return to sport as well as minimisation of risk of re-injury. Sports Physiotherapy is an exciting area of Physiotherapy due to its ever increasing use across professional and amateur sports alike.

This increasing exposure and use promotes significant research to be completed in specific sports, leading to sports physiotherapy constantly being at the forefront of the advances in treatment techniques and modalities, hence improving outcomes for all sporting patients.
